The CEBP is a technical-assistance organization that promotes knowledge development and the implementation of evidence-based practices for the treatment and recovery of people diagnosed with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
The CEBP is a partnership between the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (school of social work) at Case Western Reserve University and the Department of Psychiatry at the Case School of Medicine. This partnership collaborates with several Ohio state departments.
Centers of Excellence
The CEBP functions as an umbrella entity for two State of Ohio Coordinating Center of Excellence (CCOE) initiatives: the Ohio Substance Abuse and Mental Illness CCOE and Ohio Supported Employment CCOE.
Policymakers from state and regional authorities and leaders of service organizations, hospitals, community health clinics, and technical-assistance organizations from Ohio, 25 other states, and five countries have sought our consulting, training, and evaluation services.
A chronology of significant events in our history. The Center has its roots in over 35 years of research, education, and training initiatives of the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry at the Case School of Medicine.
We take this opportunity to acknowledge the individuals and organizations who have contributed to the conception and ongoing development and evolution of our online services.
