OVERVIEW

"The Opiate Epidemic Across the Lifespan: Impact and Interventions" will explore the misuse of prescription medication as a public health issue. The event will examine how service systems and organizations can create a population-based approach to this epidemic, including an increase in public awareness and  prevention strategies. ABOUT THE EVENT

The rise in the misuse of prescription medication has emerged as an epidemic crossing the lifespan. This public health issue has created target areas of concern impacting young adults dealing with addiction
compounded by the increase in fatalities for middle aged Ohioans. As we create a population-based approach in regards to dealing with this epidemic, increasing awareness to the prevention strategies on
the local level is essential.

Past-Due Payments

• Individuals with past-due payments to the Center for Evidence-Based Practices (CEBP) at Case Western Reserve University (or its Coordinating Center of Excellence initiatives) will not be able to register for an event until all outstanding payments have been received.
