1.) Consumer-Operated Services: Partners in Employment

consultant at the Center for Evidence-Based Practices (CEBP) at Case
Western Reserve University and its Ohio Supported Employment
Coordinating Center of Excellence (CCOE) initiative (for bio, see

Abstract: This
workshop will highlight the accomplishments and activities
of members of consumer-operated services that are participating in the
SE CCOE Peer Employment Partnership, which helps people prepare to (and
get to) work. Kohn will discuss program activities, outcomes, and stakeholder collaborations that have
helped people consider work as part of their personal recovery.

2.) Employment Basics

Presenter: Steve Shober, BS, LSW, consultant and trainer at the Center for Evidence-Based Practices (CEBP) at Case Western Reserve University and its Ohio Supported Employment Coordinating Center of Excellence (CCOE) initiative (for bio, see "keynote speaker" section below).
Abstract: "Employment Basics" will provide an overview of principles and strategies to help the audience consider their role in helping to increase the number of people moving into or sustaining competitive employment. Though many more people who have serious mental health conditions are moving into the world of work, many people in vulnerable populations still do not consider attempting competitive work as part of their recovery process. Tips, skills, and activities that support the consideration of work will be covered in this informative workshop, including some information about providing support to individuals who receive benefits and are considering employment..

The "4th Annual Wellness Management and Recovery Conference: Building
