Work Opportunity Tax Credit (Ohio)

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program and the Welfare-to-Work Tax Credit (WTW) program are federal tax credits for employers who hire individuals from target groups of disadvantaged job seekers. Find out which employers and which mental-health consumers in your community might qualify for WOTC.

In Ohio, the WOTC and WTW tax credits are administered by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS). See the "How to Participate" section to obtain the required forms (e.g., IRS Form8850 & U.S. Department ofLabor ETA Form 9061).

For more information about the federal program, visit the website of the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (click here).
