Abstract

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence-based practice for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Assertive Community Treatment teams serve individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. This workshop will explore the key elements of the Dual Disorder model for ACT

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to: 

  • Identify interventions to promote health with individuals being served by ACT teams
  • Identify the needed components for fidelity of the dual disorder model as described by the DACTS (Dartmouth Assertive Community Treatment Scale).
  • Describe the key components of the Integrated Dual Disorder Model.
