Abstract

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based practice that is proven to be effective for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. This workshop will explore how to accumulate positive emotions and build a life worth living. Maladaptive thoughts and painful emotions are often triggers for substance misuse. 

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe how to accumulate positive emotions in the short term and long term
  • Identify how to use values and priorities to help build a life worth living

 


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Organizations that are interested in and/or in the process of implementing and utilizing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), the evidence-based practice. Examples of those who should attend include the following:

  • Program managers
  • Team leaders
  • Team members
