Abstract

Mindfulness practice allows us to live more freely in the moment.  Mindfulness is an important skill set to help manage stress and a variety of other health related conditions.  Over the coming weeks, we will learn from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, based on the work of Bob Stahl and Elisha Goldstein.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Review what pain and stress does to the body
  • Review how mindfulness practice can replace unhealthy coping mechanisms
  • Definite mindfulness and mindfulness practice
  • Complete a mindfulness practice 

 


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Organizations that are interested in and/or in the process of implementing and utilizing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), the evidence-based practice. Examples of those who should attend include the following:
