Mindfulness is an important skill set to help manage stress, exposure to trauma, and help us live in the moment.  Over the coming months we will learn the "How" and "What" skills of Core Mindfulness from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  In each workshop, we will learn a new mindfulness practice together to use outside of the workshop and teach to clients. 

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Review the effectiveness of mindfulness practice
  • Describe the goals of mindfulness practice
  • Definite mindfulness, mindfulness skills, and mindfulness
  • Review the "What" and "How" Skills of Core Mindfulness 



Organizations that are interested in and/or in the process of implementing and utilizing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), the evidence-based practice. Examples of those who should attend include the following:
