Abstract

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based practice that is proven to be effective for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Today’s workshop will explore the skill of observing and describing emotions, and the process of emotions. Identifying uncomfortable emotions can be a helpful skill when trying to reduce or stop substance us

  • Describe factors that make regulating emotions difficult
  • Identify a model for describing emotions
  • Identify ways to describe emotions
