Mandel School moves up to No. 9 in "Best of" rankings for schools of social work

The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University is now ranked No. 9 among the best graduate schools of social work in the country, according to the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings, which were released March 13, 2012. The school provides master's and doctoral degree programs, including specializations in the fields of mental-health services and services for alcohol-and-other-drug addiction. The Center for Evidence-Based Practices is a partnership between the Mandel School and the Department of Psychiatry at the Case School of Medicine.

Mandel School Dean Grover Gilmore heralded the improved ranking as a re-affirmation of the school's quality researchers and dedicated team of faculty, field advisors, staff, alumni, and students. The school was ranked No. 10 in 2008.
